The spot
Coconuts Kite is an IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) PRO watersports center located in Jambiani, on the South-East coast of Zanzibar. You can check us out on the IKO website:

Jambiani is one of the best spots for kitesurfing, as water is shallow and it is easier for beginners, while it guarantees amazing conditions and great scenery for experienced riders alike; and without a lot of crowd!
Main windy seasons are from July to end of September and from December to March. We have however wind all year round and we cover a wide range of wind conditions with our kite sizes and wings range. Windguru is among the apps we use, keeping in mind the limited amount of weather stations when considering its reliability.
What we do
We offer kitesurfing, wingfoiling, stand up paddle, land kitesurfing, land wingsurfing and a wonderful chilled place for your time in Zanzibar.
The Coffee Club is our own restaurant / bar / cafe’ and Coconuts Bandas offers rustic accommodation on the spot. Coconuts Spa offers massage, hair braiding and manicure / pedicure.
Amateur and PRO courses
Our courses are both for amateurs as well as PRO instructors, in collaboration with the International Kiteboarding Organization.

Emanuel (nicknamed Zabron Kite) is the owner of the school and the head instructor. With over 10 years experience teaching kitesurfing, in Tanzania and abroad, Emanuel brings in a lot of experience and, as you will see from the pictures, he can do quite a few tricks!
Coconuts Kite want to offer you an unforgettable experience, giving you the best instructors and top notch equipment, as well as a spot which offers great conditions for watersports practise without being too crowded.
Our equipment includes mostly Cabrinha kites and wings and various boards brands, among which Brunotti and Liquid Force. We have all the sizes needed for any wind and any weight. Our SUP are from the wellknown UK based manufacturer Fatstick boards.
Are you an experienced rider?
Join us for a downwind! We can also organize customized trips in mainland Tanzania.
How to reach us
The school can be easily reached from Stone Town in around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you reach Paje, you head further south to Jambiani and from the main road you will turn to go to Uzuri Villa / Ifa Resort. Once you reach the beach you can see the school on your left hand side.
